Just loose enough which is what I was looking for.

I’ve been using this brand for a few years now. They are the best for night time use over a cloth diaper. I haven’t found any wool pants as stretchy and soft as these. It was hard to find something that would stretch over an overnight diaper and cover.

I have yet to wash these but I am excited that it's possible. This generation of wool baby clothing is softer than what you would expect. I am pleased with the quality of the leggings.

Bought 6-12 month for my just turned one year old and 12-24 for my 2 1/2 year old. Both fit pretty good. They do tend to get stretched out so they look a little saggy but they seem so cozy so that's ok. I do wish the waistband felt a little more comfortable as it's just a covered elastic but I'm super sensitive to elastic waists so that's just me! They don't seem bothered by them.

I was looking for a pair of merino wool leggings to use with my sons workhorse diapers. These are NOT advertised as longies to my knowledge, but they work just fine for us; despite being thin, I change his diaper frequently, and rarely have problems. My son has worn them non stop for a couple months and they have held up remarkably.

These are very nice quality, thicker than I expected and very soft and cozy. The only thing we don’t like about them is the waist. I got the 4-5T size for my daughter, who is 4 years old, 3’5”, and about 35 lbs. The leg length is good, but the waist goes up well above her belly button. This wouldn’t be a problem, except that the pants don’t stay up, and instead the waist falls down to her hips, so the crotch sags down to her knees. The waist can’t be rolled down either, or it bunches awkwardly. So now I’m trying to figure out some suspenders or something to keep them up.

We love these pants, as they grow with our baby and are wearable in all four seasons. We like to wrap the bigger ones over baby's feet as built in booties too. They are soft and stretch nicely. If we only had one type of pants, it would be this one.

I agree with all the other reviews that say to size down in these leggings. My son is 6 months, 16.5lbs and 37.5 inches long. I bought the 6-12 month size and I have to roll them up about 4 inches. These leggings do stretch out a little bit after each wear. The waistband is nicely padded and doesn't dig into my son's stomach. There is plenty of room for my son's fluffy cloth diaper butt. These leggings have held up nicely to my son's constant crawling. I bought the bordeaux, grey, green, hazelnut, and anthracite. These will be a staple in my son's winter wardrobe.

They are knit too loosely and are itchy. Maybe as a layer ontop of another layer?

These seem to be a bit big for size, but we actually LOVE that in our home and it works well!! They are comfortable and not too itchy for my kids' taste. They are substantial and warm!!

These are such a great buy - I've gotten these for both my tall son and my petite daughter, and they've worked so well for both. In the correct size for their age, they lasted each for well over a year & kept them nice & toasty in our cold weather. Well worth the money!

We love wool and the Disana line is fantastic quality. We are using these as pajama pants for my mostly-potty-trained 20-month-old. She pees in her cotton training undies occasionally and these contain it - the bed does not get wet, we don't have to change the sheets, and we don't even have to wash these pants every time. Plus they are super cozy. A great alternative to pullups for occasional bedwetting. Two pairs to rotate works well for our pajama situation.

I bought these leggings in a set of 3 in a large size so my cloth and wool diapered two year old could grow into them. I simply roll up the bottom like tubes and plan on unrolling them as he grows. The only problem I’ve had so far is a snag in one pair. Love them and he has stayed warm in our cool house in frigid West Michigan!

Great cozy, warm pants. I usually buy daughter's clothes at consignment shops to save money, but these are such a great quality and value that I intend to buy a few pairs in different colors so these can be daughter's everyday pants in cool weather. They are stretchy and run big, so if I don't shrink them, she may be able to wear these comfortably for two, maybe three years.

Great leggings - soft stretchy comfy and you can just roll up if too long.

My son has been in disana wool overalls since birth. But now, at 2, he's too tall for them. So we moved on to these leggings. We love them as much as the overalls. The rib knit makes them lovely and stretchy without getting baggy or saggy as he runs about. He's not in nappies so we just turn the waistband down once and that takes care of the extra space in the bum. These keep him lovely and warm indoors and are perfect under his outdoor snow/rain gear in our cold Maine winters! They're lovely and soft and, like the overalls, get softer after a gentle handwash :)

My 17 month old son is still in diapers so the extra material around the bottom is perfect for full coverage and doesn't slip down or leave a cold gap between his shirt. These woolies are stretchy and fit over long underwear or a cotton baby bodysuit easily. The best part is that they are warm without being bulky! I bought a bigger size and have rolled the hem up about 6 inches and they stay put rolled up out of the mud puddles. Here's hoping they can be stretched to fit another season...I have no idea how fast a toddler will grow!

I originally reviewed in Oct.2012. My now 4.5 year old son wore his grey Disana "sweater pants" to preschool today. (size 98/104, they are now just a wee short on his 45 inch height, 46 pound body). So yes, they do hold up over time and you can size up to get lots of use out of them.
Just received a size 74/80 white pair for my daughter. She is about 26 pounds. I am not sure her height, maybe 32 in? 35 in? I am guessing. She is 16 months old but wears a 2T in mainstream clothes. I wanted her Disana leggings to use as footless tights under dresses for the winter. Therefore I did not size up. The 74/80 fit her just right but they will probably not fit her next year. For our use this is fine. I originally ordered her the 86/92 but they were long.....If using as pants, I would have kept them and just rolled them up to get two or more seasons of wear out of them. However as I said, I wanted a more fitted pair to look good under dresses. She wore them this weekend under a dress and it was adorable. I wish I could post photos here but I hope this review has helped.

I have bought several pairs of these wool leggings for my baby for the past 2 winters and I love them. They are thick, warm and soft and more affordable than other wool brands. Disana runs large, my 1 year old can actually still fit in the 3-6 month leggings that he had last year although they are a bit short. My advice is to size down if you have an active toddler because it is hard to keep the legs rolled up when they are on the go.

These pants are thick and warm. They have a nice stretch all over and fit well.

This is our second pair of these amazing and cozy wool leggings. My son has grown out of his last pair and as we are preparing for winter this was a must have. You can layer under them , they stretch nicely for all shapes and sizes and they are so thick and soft.

Can be worn over cloth diapers in lieu of a conver (we change wet diapers promptly, tho)

I've been eyeing these leggings for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger. I got the grey ones in 86/92 for my 14 month old. Yes, they are a bit long but you can just fold them over and get a lot more wear out of them. She's only worn them as cozy pants (not a waterproof diaper cover) but they've been great.

My daughter is just 3 and of average size at about 36-37" tall. These pants in size 3-4 are HUGE on her! Not just in length but all around. I imagined that they would be more like thick woolen leggings or tights, but they are more bulky and spacious like boot cut pants.

This is one of many Disana products we have. Perfect to keep baby warm and comfortable. She loves them and I only wish I was on to them sooner with the older siblings.

I ordered the 2/3T for both of my grandsons, ages 2.5 and 4 years old, these leggings are soft, warm, and both the red and blue are beautiful. A little large they will probably fit them for quite awhile. I am very pleased with this purchase.

The quality of these leggings is amazing, very soft and beautiful. However, they are very big. I bought the 12-24 month size (86/32) for my 11 month old twins, as I was worried they would grow out of the smaller size too soon. I definitely should have ordered down though. My twins are both on the larger size, but these are much too big on them. The waist is big,so they slip down and they are extremely long. I pull them up to their armpits and roll them three times, but because they are so soft they just sag down an unroll. My advice is to order a size smaller than you think you need! Luckily, these will certainly fit next winter, and probably the winter after that!

These leggings are so cute and so soft, I just love them and so does my baby!

These are great leggings for the cold winters here in Alberta. They are very thick and are stand-alone pants, not long underwear designed to go under other pants (except maybe a snowsuit). I got the 12-24 month size for my 2-year-old daughter and they are a good fit with some room to grow. The blue colour is beautiful. Another great product from Disana.

I bought the 98/104 size for my two year old who is 37 inches. These were huge on her! I rolled it up three times on each leg with the cuffs being at least two inches long! I guess I'll be able to use them for several years! I bought these to keep her warm after swimming lessons. She no longer complains that she is cold!

Wonderful leggings, stay true to size and dont shrink after first wash which has been an issue with some Disana products for me (even at temperatures where I thought they were safe). These seem to stay the original size.

Wonderful little pants that hold up well to lots of wear. They keep my little one warm as he crawls around on the cold floors.

We fondly call these his "sweater pants". I bought these to match his disana boiled wool coat. VERY cute together.
I really like that they can really accomodate alot of bulk in the caboose. I can fit them over his disana knitted soaker at night because I want to cover his legs in winter. That's mainly what we use them for now.
They're my back- up pants for day for a couple reasons. First, they REALLY stretch out and become baggy-er with use. If you want form-fitting legging these are not the leggings for you. They'll shrink back some with a wash but stretch out pretty quickly again. They will NOT continue to look like what the do new. Second, even though sizing up is a good idea to last longer, because these stretch out I have not had success rolling them up as they ALWAYS will unroll whether he's napping or walking around.
The 12-24 mo size fits well length-wise for our big 20 mo-old but a couple times he has fallen because his heel slipped on the back of the cuff on our hardwood. Third, these pill up like nobody's business. They do look much better with a good shave but they still will look fuzzy over time.
So in the end we like them as our pj pants ( :

This is the second pair we've ordered as my daughter is finally out-growing her first pair - but she wore them for a full year. They are so warm and comfortable and the colors are just beautiful. These thick, ribbed leggings are unique. You won't be disappointed. They run large, but that isn't a problem as you can cuff them or push them up a bit.

I bought 2 pair of the 98/104 pants for my son to wear as pajama and lounge pants since I'm no longer buying flame-retardant fleece sleepers after reading about the risks. It is really hard to find alternatives that are warm enough for cold Michigan winter nights in a chilly house, but I think these are great! They are huge on my son, who wears 2T and 24 month clothing, we have to roll them 3 times! But they stay up in the waist and I know they are going to fit a long time. He is 33" and 26 pounds but I know they will fit at least another year, maybe 2. This alone makes them worth the money. I love wool, and I love this company. I also bought 2 of the wool diaper covers to use as summer pajama bottoms.

We use these pants without a diaper underneath for our son as we practice EC and the wool stays warm if they do get a little wet and they dry quickly. They are also super easy to take on and off...he actually was able to take them down by himself with his feet at 8 months. As it gets warmer and he crawls around the house more, we brought back out his smaller ones (0-3mos) for use as shorts so he can get some traction with his knees on the floor and they still fit great around his waist. The only complaint I have is that they collect a lot of pet hair and when he is outside, pine needles can go right through them scratching him. Other than that, they clean off really easy with a few brushes of the hand. When it's really warm, I alternate with Engel's thin wool leggings.

I just bought my daughter her second pair. we love these.
for size info, she is 36.5" with long legs, and she still wears her 86/92 (comes right to her ankles) and we roll the 98/104 either at the ankles or the waist. the only signs of wear are a little pilling, which is easily removed with a sweater comb. excellent product.

My husband and I are big fans of wool, so it was an easy choice to give our baby wool, too. These leggings are lovely--soft and stretchy. Even softer after a wool wash and lanolin soak. Looking forward to seeing them on our baby (due in a few weeks)!

I use these as 1 of 3 longies in my son's rotation so they are used as a diaper cover over fitted diapers (I do change him everytime he potty's). They do feel a little damp (I did lanolize them) after he pees but I like that so I know he went. They are soft and will last a long time. I got the 74/80 in September and they are still big on my 9 mo, 16 lb, medium built boy. Plenty of room in the bottom and length (I probably fold the legs up 2-3 inches). They are a great price and quality for every day casual wear and mid-atlantic somewhat mild winters.

These handsome knit leggings are soft, warm and great for layering. We used them today in combination with the boiled wool jacket and my toddler was cozy and warm. I layered them over leggings and the jacket with a wool sweater for our extended walk and time at the playground, the outdoor temperature being mid- 30's.
very pleased Mom

This is the second pair i've bought for my son and they are amazingly soft and stretchy. They run BIG so they seem to fit him forever. Disana's quality in their products is invaluable. They can work as a longie diaper cover or just as pants. My 3 year old wants to wear his day and night!
Posted by Unknown on 19th Nov 2012
I really like these leggings- they are a day weight so I wouldn't use them overnight but they are great during the day with an absorbant fitted or if you like me an use pockets out an about these are perfect over pockets too!

These pants are wonderfully warm for the winter months! Great colors too. My daughter has worn hers for almost a year so they are worth the money. We got the 12 month size, and she wore them from 6 months on with the legs rolled up. I am sure they will fit through another year.
She is 16 months and 23 lbs and tall for her age. They work great with a cloth diaper too.

These are amazing. They are really cute, they look better and higher quality in person than in the photo. The legs are sort of tapered and it's easy to roll them up so feel free to buy big and let your baby grow into them. We bought the 110/116 size for our 30 lb., tall 19 mos.old (he is as tall as most 2.5 year olds). They are BIG on him but they stay up and we roll up the legs. I think he will wear them until he is 3 or 4, no joke. They are really soft, he seems really comfy in them, running around the house, etc. Great for PJ bottoms or pants. Plenty of room for cloth diaper & cover.

These are great pants! They fit a bit big but are so easy to roll up and the big fat cloth diaper butt helps to keep the waist held up. Although they fit big, they do not look strange. We have gotten lots of compliments while wearing these pants out. I dont recommend wearing them to a playground though, these are more for relaxed days or quick out and about trips, not hardcore playing. They are very soft and well made. The only problem you will have with these is trying to decide which color you want.

Good on their own or under pants. Very thick and better quality then they look in he photos. I got cherry red which is lovely. Cuff up the bottom to make the bigger size fit.

I agree that these leggings run on the large size, but they stay rolled up and the waist can easily be rolled down. They are not super soft, but also not scratchy at all. LOTS of stretch, but a bit too heavy of a weight to fit under jeans. They add that perfect touch to dresses though! Love the fat ribbing!

These are super nice pants. I bought a 6-12m size in natural, for my 18lb, 8 month old. She wears mostly 6-12m pants (Gap, etc) and some are on the short side, but these are huge! They work great for night time, and can be easily rolled up and will fit for a long time.
Posted by Janice on 13th Sep 2012
these pants are really soft and cozy.
they seem to run a bit big - i got the 12-24 mo (86/92) size for my 25 lb baby (31 inches long) and the pants are loose and long, which we don't mind at all, since they'll probably fit next year, too.
excellent quality clothing.
