The Disana brand wool diaper covers are great! Scary at first to think they will prevent overnight leaks, but they do! Wish I would've experienced wool sooner! However, little spruce organics sent the wrong size in one of the diapers I ordered. I sent an email and haven't heard back yet. At the very least, I'd just like for the company to know of their error.

When I first started using this, the wool was getting wet every night. I had to lanolize it TWICE before it became waterproof, even though the instructions say it doesn't need to be lanolized.
It is now reliably waterproof, however it still leaks through the leg holes because they're loose, even though my baby is in the weight range listed on the size chart.
Another drawback is that it takes forever to dry. It literally takes 3 days to dry fully, which is highly inconvenient. It would require you to have 2 pairs or to have some other sort of backup to use while it dries.
I'm now wishing I purchased a fitted wool diaper with snaps instead of the pullover style. Even though they're more expensive expensive, it probably would've been a better fit and quicker to dry.
I will have to wait several months before I can use this pullover successfully. I can see it being a good product if the fit was right.
TLDR size down and make sure to lanolize before use

These diaper cover are great! I minimally felt them in the wet zone and lanolize them, then they are good to go. They have never let me down no matter how much my baby has peed through the night. I used them up until my baby started running and then switched to a fitted diaper and cover per his request.

Absolutely love it!
So natural, breathable, soft, baby skin friendly, warm for cold weather, no smell(natural cleansing power of lanolin oil of wool), leak proof and indeed CUTE!
I am so love’n it!

These are our favorite wool diaper covers! Perfect, soft and stretchy!

These covers are wonderful! So soft and leak proof. They run large, and seem to get larger with wear. After I wash it it seems to fit my baby best, then it gets baggier after about a week of wearing at nighttime. I usually put a body suit on to keep it from sagging off baby. Wool is so amazing, I am hooked and you will be too. ;)

Absolute all time favorite night time diaper covers! They are cozy, breathable, and great quality! (Also very easy to care for.) I am in love with these wool covers and would recommend them to anyone who is having issues with leaks at night. (Also they are the absolute cutest on baby!)

We are in love with the Disana Wool Diaper covers! Hardly ever have leaks and just need to use some lanolin and I know they will be bombproof!
I feel like Little Spruce Organics has a great price for these. They are more expensive everywhere else I have seen them!

I like the product, it does prevent leaks . I did had one accident over night with the cloth diaper and the cover so I will be washing and adding lanolin as instructed and see if I have better results. I must say my baby is a heavy wetter

I love these so much. I find they do need to be lanolized before use (despite Disana instructions). They work better after a wash or two, but I don’t wash them any more than I need to, to keep the wool looking good. I have grey, lagoon, and anthracite, and the anthracite look the best after 8 months of use. The fuzziness is less noticeable on the dark color. But I love them all. Even food stains come out with just gentle soaking and rinsing. Poo stains—get the poop off (spray off with sprayer, if you have one) and wash ASAP! But even for these, if a stain doesn’t come out with one washing, it will fade and be gone with the next.

I bought these to use with my emergency cloth diapers system in case I am unable to get to the stores, and for my baby’s bug out bag. I wanted something I can wash and reuse with natural fibers to keep her warm and dry.

I have five of these now and they're so much better than the "plastic pants" I was using when I didn't know any better. I machine wash them with wool wash in mesh bags on a delicate cycle and hang/lay flat to dry. They do felt/shrink significantly over time, but just buy a big enough size and it's not a problem.

I have used these for a month now, after switching from prefolds+Flip covers. I was looking for a breathable material, as we were dealing with diaper rash and ammonia regularly. These have solved the problem, rashes are gone and ammonia scent is reduced. I use the workhorse diapers (w/snaps) underneath the Disana wool diaper cover; the wool cover also functions as his shorts for the day, at home and on the go. I change him before naps/after eating, switching off between two wool covers during the day and I have had no problems with leaking. I use babeegreens covers over a workhorse diaper for night, but these work for night just as well. The inside has felted a bit which is good, and the outside fibers have held up to daily wear beautifully. I'm amazed at the efficiency and comfort of the wool method.

When lanolized these are completely waterproof yet breathable and temperature regulating. Can go several weeks without washing if you have 3 and rotate through them and air between wearings. Nice colors and super soft. Appear very big when new but will shrink/felt down to size with washing and wearing.

I love how soft and breathable these are. My son is 5 months, about 18 lbs and I ordered him the 12-24 month size. They’re big and cover from his knees to arm pits, but I wanted room to grow! After very lightly felting the wet zone on the first wash and lanolizing, they don’t leak at night. I ordered two more pairs after a week using this cover. My son looks so cute in them, too!

I’m very happy with these. Good quality, fast shipping, and on sale when I ordered them.

These are the only covers I use for my baby. She's 5.5 months and about 18lbs. She still fits the 0-6m size, though will outgrow that in the rise in the next couple months I think. The 6-12 month size pulls up almost to her armpits (which I LOVE) keeps her warm. For day use, I don't lanolise these. I change as soon as she's wet, and have never had a leak. Even when there's pressure like if she's in her carseat or I'm wearing her. For overnight I do lanolise quite heavily, and also never get leaks. I love that these are so breathable, and there is no elastic anywhere on my baby. Underneath we use a mix of flats and prefolds from Green Mountain Diapers, and homemade stretchy bamboo preflats. We also EC, so she doesn't ever poop in her nappies, but either way these are very easy to air out, rarely do I need to wash or lanolise them. I alternate two covers during the day, she wears one and once she wets I air it and switch. I have two for overnight as well and do the same (though I usually only change her once at night). In winter I love that these add an extra layer of warmth. And in warmer weather they're like a wee pair of shorts!

I love these covers. I discovered them when my son was about a year old. Now I have my daughter, I realised we needed some smaller ones!
She's one month and 10lbs and the 3-6 size fits great. It's big, but because of the stretchy ribbing it still fits. We EC so don't use it at home much. When at home she's just in a fitted or a nappy belt. But for out and about it's fantastic. It's easy to pull off quickly when she cues me to pee/poop. Plus, keeps her nice and toasty! I'll be back to buy a 6-12 size in a few months. As it'll be a while until she fits the ones her brother wore!

This is hands down, the best nighttime solution. Soft, comfy and just wonderful. No red marks, and very cozy. I love to put my little one in this and let them roam around the house in comfort.

I have 6 kids and a lot of woolies and diaper covers, but my #6 is only 5 months old and incredibly wonderfully and healthily chubby! His mondo thighs have a hard time fitting in our size 3 other woolies so I ordered him two of these, in the size 2t/3t curry and grey, they fit comfortably around his chub and the colors are lovely. They come up to his armpits but fit beautifully. Highly recommend.
He wears them for day time and nighttime. We love them.

This is the first cover I have ever used that my heavy wetting 19 month old has not completely leaked through! And he absolutely loves it! He gets mad when i take it off of him in the morning because he loves the feel so much.

Everything mentioned in the headline. These are the only covers we use for all seasons and ages (until potty-trained)! Never itchy or uncomfortable on our little one and easy to pull on-off. We haven't needed to wash more than once a month since our little guy has started solid food (no poop leaks escaping anymore from his flats). Even when he had some poop escape his flat, we only needed to quickly spot clean these covers and they were good to go :) We have had to lanolize about once per month or two months.

These are lovely diaper covers! We used them over the knitted nappy until he was six months old and we’ve been using them over training pants ever since. We used the size 3-6 months from birth (7lbs) until he was a year old (21 lbs). I’ve just ordered the next size up, size 6-12 months) although he’s near 13 months old now. These run very large.

These are our night time covers. I bought them 2 sizes too big this time because we use them over big night diapers so I'd rather them be a bit larger for room to grow. We have two covers that we rotate and absolutely love-- they are bulletproof once lanolized!

I love Disana- we used them exclusively for overnight use and now have a few that we use for daytime use when at home or in the cooler months. They are double layer so a tad fluffier but the coverage of these is the best- never ever had a leak with them , never let me down (: Will be using them with our next baby as wel. Have no complaints!

I kept getting more of these as my baby grew. They are the best! I'll take soft organic wool touching my baby's skin any day over something synthetic. The wool is breathable and dries quickly when you rotate covers. The washing and lanolizing routine is straight forward and not hard when you get the hang of it. And these are the only covers that I could trust overnight as my son grew. I highly recommend them!

My favorite wool covers. We have been using Disana for 14 months now. They are so soft and cuddly. Excellent for nighttime diapering. We never have leaks, even if the twins sleep 10-12 hours.

I always reach for this cover at bedtime and gnash my teeth when it's not yet dry after being washed and I have to use something else. I love how leak-proof it is; and I love that my baby sleeps in something without any elastic pinching her. I was a little worried it would stain (I bought the 'natural' color), but everything came right out very easily and it still looks beautiful after months of use. Only thing I would change is that the waist band is starting to stretch out... probably I should be gentler with it washing & drying.

Been a user of wool for over 12yrs with babies. I head good things about this one and it shows in the quality of it. I will be buying more of these! Time tested product. Great Seller and store here.
Very soft and nice looking.

I absolutely love this wool cover! It's buttery soft, stretchy, extremely leakproof, easy to slip on, and my baby is so warm and cuddly in it.
I only use wool and organic cotton to diaper my baby. This is my absolute favorite wool cover to put on my baby! Diaper changes are very quick and easy with this wool cover.
This is a must have item if you are thinking about using wool or already use wool to diaper your baby.

I purchased these covers for my son. While I haven't gotten to try them on him yet. I have only heard positive things about these covers. We plan on using them for overnight wear. They are extremely soft, and look well made.

Our son is 13-months-old and we just purchased a third Disana cover. We use them for night-time diapering and they are perfect. We had one in the 74/80 size that worked for our son (small for his age) from about 3-10 months. We now have two of these covers in the 86/92 size. We could get by with just one since we don't wash them more than every two weeks or so, but it's nice to have two to rotate. We had been putting them under footed cotton pajamas for fall/winter/spring. But now for warm summer nights (fans, no ac), he is sleeping well with just the diaper cover on bottom paired with the "Cosilana Organic Wool/ Silk Long Sleeved Shirt" on top. They make a great pajama set. Both brands have great color selection (we now have the orange and green diaper covers and the orange stripe and green stripe shirts). We wash the shirts and diaper covers together with Eucalan No Rinse Lavender.

These work really well for us. My daughter is 6.5 months and 17lbs. I got size 86/92 and they fit well, with a little room to grow. We use them mostly at night, and they work so well! I'm new to wool but these have converted me to try wool full time.

I've been CDing for a couple years now but have always been afraid to try wool. But with 2 in diapers at night I was needing something leak-proof and PUL was not performing very well. I finally decided to give these a try, and wow, am I ever glad I did! After washing and lanolizing them a couple times I tried them on my 1 and 2 year-olds. Paired with a GMD fitted and a hemp doubler-NO LEAKS! I'm super impressed! Plus, they're super soft and squishy. For size reference, I bought two in size 98-104 for my 22 and 28-pounders. They are quite roomy but not huge. I just fold down the top and it works fine.

I like these covers quite well. They are a little bigger than I thought when they arrived but after a couple washes looked more like what I had in mind. They are soft stretchy and cover them well. I bought a size up so it looks like it will fit forever. I originally bought a second hand felted cover which is not as stretchy and a lot smaller. It's nice because it won't leak but the new ones are much more flexible and still work great.

On baby number three. Wouldn't dream of using any other cover! We never buy bottoms for as these serve as diapers and clothes. We have multiples of every color.
Posted by Mary on 14th Feb 2015
Yep, we're convinced too-- once the soakers were fully lanolized, and the absorbency of the tie knappy underneath was figured out, we don't have leaks. My boys are heavy wetters, and these keep them dry all night.
Big fan!

With baby #6 I tried many of the "new" diaper products only to go back to the tried and true diapers I used with my 22, 20 and 13 year old. Know I remember why I got these in the past. Fun colors and these work! DD is 27 months so I purchased the 2T/3T and 3/4T. 3/4T way to large but keeping for nightwear later. 2/3T is working but we could possibly size down for this baby is skinnier. Great value that WORKS!

I only wish I had known of wool covers sooner. I have three grandsons 11, 4 and 2 years old. Purchased these covers and used for the first time last night on the 2 year old (only one left in diapers) and he has very sensitive skin. Put it over a prefold. No leaks, no smell, no red bum in the morning. What a wonderful product this is.

I am so impressed with this wool cover. I love how good it covers the diaper and how nice and roomy these wool covers are! They are super soft and well made. I just ordered another one!

Soft, stretchy, comfortable with few leaks so far; a necessary staple for any natural diapering stash. This wool cover is perfect for all day use, but is our go-to for overnight use. The price is unbeatable for an organic wool cover (affordable enough to buy a few, especially if you want to cut down on wear as they pill quite a bit. We rotate with other covers and try to use when our baby is expected to be the least active). Will definitely plan to have one in each size until our baby is potty-trained and see no reason why they won't be re-used for baby number two!

These are amazing and at an amazing price. I use these primarily at night, and it has put an end to bed floods. On a mostly stationary baby they deserve every accolade. On a walking two year old they can droop a bit by days end. Still a wonderful product! They are durable as well providing you don't put them through the dryer! I have a few from my daughter and older son that are still in very good condition for the next round due Oct.

DISANA ORGANIC MERINO WOOL COVERS are a wonderful cover that for day or night. The cover is a bit bulky but that means its leakproof when cared for correctly.
I have paired this wool cover with prefolds and fitteds with no issues. I am a little lost on the sizing because my daughter is very small for her age, 17 lbs at 13 months. She currently wears the 62/68 (0-6 month) size. The rise is getting a bit small so I will likely move her up to the next size soon.

Although I am new to wool diapering, I have fallen in love with this cover. I bought this cover and an S'bish interlock cover at the same time and at half the cost, this is easily my favorite. It does have some pilling around the knees where she crawls around but I've heard this is normal for merino wool. Absolutely no leaks so far and she is a super heavy wetter. I would definitely recommend this cover to a friend (or stranger).
Also, we live in very humid south Arkansas and have had no problems with her overheating. It's just overall a wonderful cover and a bargain at that!

I have tried a lot of different things for night time and this was my last resort. For awhile I had to use disposables with a pul cover. Our son is 22 months and this cover works great. I have used it 3 times and with each time no leaks and no diaper rash. I would highly recommend these if your child is a heavy wetter and hasv sensitive skin. I use a large prefolds with a small folded inside as well as one more insert.

We love these! We use Engel thin wool to play and short diaper spans. Then of course the best is disana for naps, overnight, and car rides!

These are our best and most used diaper covers. We have 2 in the newborn size, which we used since birth but really were too large on our small (6#) baby at first. My husband made fun of these diapers at first because they were so big he thought they were silly, but he's a convert now. Baby is now 4 months and 11#, 23" and they fit him perfectly. Having 2 in rotation worked, we also had 3 loveybums covers we bought second hand and some thirsties. You never know what you'll like, but these were our fav and the only ones we're buying in bigger sizes. The loveybums were nice because they're very trim, but they're also much more expensive and not full coverage like these. These make cute little shorts under a onesie. They also don't feel as nice when you're holding baby. The thirsties work but don't breathe and leave marks so those were really just for backup if the wool wasn't dry. Drying did take a while so I opted for 3 of the next size up rather than 2. We use them day and night, though they're a bit bulky. Put baby in a disposable once and it was shocking how skinny the little guy looked without his big diaper!
We use them over GMD prefolds. We occasionally use a hemp or bamboo doubler for overnight and these have plenty of room. Baby sleeps 12 hours in them and never wakes up wet. They're keep him warm and snugly.
Colors are beautiful, but bleed on the first wash so if you buy several wash/rinse them separately the first time.
Highly recommend! In 4 months never had a single leak or blowout not contained by these!

wish i knew about wool for nighttime cover sooner! we'd never tried cloth at night before b/c we never knew what to do! did some research, found these and am in LOVE with them, they just worked great our first night (last night). so very happy. we use with the tie nappies. will hope to get more of this combo to use with future children, and for the next year with our second child who's using them currently. thank you! love them.

These are my favorite soakers, we use them for overnight and they are awesome! They are also super soft and squishy which makes for extra soft snuggles :)

I love the Disana wool covers. I put them on over a fitted diaper for night time and they work great- no blowouts, no leaks, maybe just a little dampness if it's a really wet night or I use just a prefold. I have two and alternate between the two, hanging one to dry in the sun or in front of my heater during the day. Easy to wash- these stay beautiful for a long time. The only advice I have is to size up- these run small, especially if you are putting them over a bulky nighttime diaper. I have the 12-24 month size on my 6 month old and they are only slightly big.
Posted by Leah on 4th Mar 2014
I love these covers. Only had to do 1 initial lanolization (but I lanolize differently than recommended, I don't emulsify the lanolin with wool wash, so after I melt it in a cup of hot water, when I pour it into the bucket I use, it spreads and somewhat hardens on the top of the water and this way all of it gets on the diaper when I dunk it (inside out), so no wasting the lanolin. It can be clumpy in places (not very) but it goes away after about 1 wear and is bombproof). These covers have worked amazingly without leaks, and they smell fresh so long! I got my husband to smell a cover after using without washing for weeks, and he said it smelled really good (no ammonia or other scents, just fresh, he is sensitive to smell). So much less wash with wool. I pair them with Cloth-Eez organic cotton prefolds.

I found these before I had my baby and I've never used anything else. The smallest size was big on my 8lb, 21in newborn (pits to ankles) but SO warm and soft. I manually felted the wetzone on the first few, but on the next sizes I've just left them on her for a while and they felt perfectly as she wears them (a little leaky at first, but they're bulletproof once felted.)
Posted by Sarah on 21st Nov 2013
I haven't use them yet because my baby is not born... I haven't experienced the washing or lanolizing or their moisture retaining properties... But I can tell you they are really soft, not ichy, and realy breathable!

I have owned Disana wool covers in each size and color for 4 babies now. The first Disana cover I bought is still in rotation on baby 4. You get such a eye pleasing color variety from this company. Nice thick double layer knit that gets a wonderful fulled felt without getting too matted or scratchy. Does the job and is readily accessible unlike so many other wool soakers out there.
Posted by Mary on 27th Oct 2013
The quality is great! I lanolized twice, and still got leaks at night if he nursed more than 2x in a night though (AND I use a fitted cover under as well). Maybe if I lanolize a few more times like the other review said, it would be more absorbent. During the day it works the best out of all my woolies though!
Posted by Anna on 23rd Oct 2013
I started with wool full time on my son shortly after he was born and use Disana soakers. These are so soft and look adorable, but more importantly they work great. They last overnight with all his wetting and keep him comfortable during the day as well. I recommend these to everyone who is interested in wool!
Posted by Unknown on 11th Sep 2013
I too was nervous about trying wool but now we use it almost all the time (except for longer car trips). I love using wool and have made many covers from re-purposed sweaters but if I could I would trade most of them in for more Disana covers. I did find that I needed to lanolinize them 4-5 times to reach a good level of wetness resistance though. But once that is done it's smooth sailing. I have noticed pilling and will get a sweater shaver for that. I'm not putting down the other brands of wool soakers since I have not tried them but I do really like these and they come at a relatively good price.
They make a for a really cute diaper bum on my little girl. If we're going somewhere special or will be taking pictures I make sure to pack the Disanas.

We got the dark purple cover and its a really lovely shade - the plain white/cream wool is a bit boring after a while! We sized up so that there is room to grow and this cover is nice because the legs are trim even if the butt part is roomy. We use this as our nighttime cover and it does the trick! Its not as padded as some of the soakers I've used but maybe because its not really a soaker (although it suits a similar purpose). All in all, a nice cover!

I started using the Disana wool cover soon after my baby was born and I LOVE it! I have this and the Engel; both are amazing covers. The leg openings on the Disana work a bit better with my thin legged baby. The 62/68 still fits my almost 11lb one month old. I use these wool covers with the Disana cotton tie nappies (LOVE them), Osocozy fitted and Kissaluvs fitted.

These pants lived up to all expectations! They are great for night wear. So amazingly and naturally absorbent. I don't have to worry about leaking for the whole night. With the added bonus of keeping the baby warm. The coverage is great as it goes well over the diaper cover on the top and the legs. And they are soft too. The best part is they don't retain any smell, so washing is less frequent. I love this cover. I just can't believe I am already on baby number three before finding and using these.

We love these covers! The wool is very high quality-- the colors are beautiful. We have the navy, red, and natural. The fit very high up on my son's waist, but that is good because it prevents leaks. They also have a lot of stretch, so they will fit for longer than some of the wool interlock covers and are better for night time than the interlock.

This is the third Disana wool cover we've purchased, and we love them. We use our LO's "wooly" as we call it every night. She sleeps all night and is a pretty heavy wetter. Because the cover is breathable, it helps draw some of the wetness away from her. I only wash it once every two weeks with imse vimse wool shampoo and a little bit of lanolin.

I had previously been using a handmade wool cover purchcased on Etsy but my little man's big booty outgrew it already. I decided I wanted one without a drawstring closure and the Disana looked good and the price was much better than some others out there. It arrived quickly an is SO soft! It makes the one I was using feel scratchy! I washed it and have lanolized it twice (still drying actually) so I haven't used it yet, but I have no doubt it will be great!

I love putting my baby to bed in this! It looks and feels so comfortable I know it has to feel better to sleep in than disposables or PUL covers. It's maybe not great for going out in (unless you have a girl, it'd be super cute under a dress!), but my boy wears this at night and often around the house. I love how he can wear this several times each day without washing. Speaking of washing....it's a breeze. Don't let a scary wash routine keep you from trying wool. In my opinion there is way less drama in washing wool than other covers (i.e. pockets) where it's a constant spray, rinse, pre-wash, wash, rinse, etc. One note though...if you're using it for newborns, you'll probably need a fitted underneath. Unless you're really good at folding and pinning them, prefolds and flats do not keep poop in in my experience.

I have two pairs, the 98/104 which we have been using from 6-mos (it's giant on a 6 mos old but hey, they grow fast and these aren't cheap) and now, at 19 mos., we have had to get the 110/116 size. I love all the color choices. We get compliments on these. They are really thick and work super for overnight. Not great for going out b/c a lot of stuff won't fit over them and even if it will, the carseat won't buckle, etc. That's why I wish there was a long-leg version so they could just be used as pants in cooler weather.

I've knitted many soakers for my babies, but once I was given one of these and used it, I was converted. They are wonderfully soft, durable and leakproof. We use them day and night. Easy care, easy use.

These are fabulous. So soft and never had a leak. They do pill up a bit, but that is easily fixed with a sweater shaver. Could not recommend it more. If you are looking for a fabulous wool cover this one is great.

Disana soakers always so soft, don't press too hard on the tummy or legs, and are really absorbant. I love how Disana offers cute colors too. I wish they made pants with the same style thickness at the top like the soaker, but with little stretchy leggings attached for cooler weather.

Loved these covers for my son. They are soo soft and comfortable for his moving little body, and PERFECT for night time, no leaks or drenched diaper folds in the morning. I have finally discovered the best clothe diapering system thanks to Little Spurce and Disana. Thank you!

I've used wool exclusively with all my cloth diapered babies and I have tried a lot of covers. I think the Disana pull up cover is one of the best. First, it is an excellent price for what you get. Second, the sizing is very forgiving and works for chubby babies as well as long skinny ones. Third, they seem very comfy for the baby - the wool is very soft and the waist and legs are not binding. Fourth, once these have been felted a little and lanolized a couple of times they never leak. Finally, it is so easy to prep and maintain.

I love wool diapers! It's easy to wash and my baby has not had a leak ever since. Shipping was fast and the quality is excellent.

I have been hesitant to try wool because it seemed like too much work to take care of, but I'm so glad I tried it. This cover is so soft and after figuring out how to lanolize it (it's super easy) I can't believe it's taken me this long to convert to wool. The covers are leak proof, don't smell and look so cozy! Do size up because they shrink with use.

This cover was my first wool cover, and I am totally converted! Until now I've used PUL covers (Flip, Thirsties, etc.) and this wool cover does not even come close! What I love most about this cover is that it doesn't smell at all after a super-full night-time diaper on my almost 3 year old. With PUL covers, I would have to change them constantly because they really hold smells and I'm a sniffaholic...I wanted to try 1 cover on her before our new baby arrives so I can know what to expect. And now I do--full time wool for the new baby, hands down! This cover is so so soft and the red color is gorgeous and rich. This is really a top-notch cover and the price is comparable to other PULs on the market.

I ordered two of these covers and love them so much. So soft after they get washed and lanolized. They really hold up to the job!
