These are not low-cut socks, but still do not leave any marks from being too tight. Great as lounge socks at home in colder months. Work great with boots and rubber boots.

These socks are very comfortable and very soft but they do slip down and leave what looks like a ring around the ankle. The top part is nice and fitted but not the middle part of the ankle portion, if that makes sense.

If you're looking for thin cotton socks, look elsewhere. These are springy, terry-like, very soft, and kind of thick. I didn't look carefully at them when I purchased, but my kid likes them and uses them often. Often enough that I bought two more, for my other one. If you're looking for a thicker cotton sock, this is a good one.
