If you're looking for heavy wool socks, these are not the ones to buy. I was looking for lightweight wool socks for my daughter for the warmer months, and these are perfect! They're about the same weight as summer cotton socks. Why wool? Because they are moisture wicking instead of soaking up water and staying damp like cotton socks. My daughter goes to an outdoor preschool and spends time stomping through the creek. Her rain boots are not always enough to keep all the water out!

I ordered 2 rounds of socks for my 3 year old. The clarity and accuracy of the sizing was not there for me. Socks are nice, but really had issue with getting the right sizing, even with 2 different orders.

These were definitely thinner than I was hoping them to be. I think they would be great for a warm spring/fall, but not quite suitable for snowy winter days. They do seem good quality overall and my child will definitely get good use of them on warmer rainy days.
